MEDICAL EDUCATION
Work with the Director of Education to provide support for the Medical Education Programme (UG & PG) under the Beacon Academy in conjunction with the Clinical Tutors
Provide guidance & support to the NCHD Education Facilitators for the NCHD bi-weekly education programme delivered by Consultant and peer teaching.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified medical doctor with current Irish Medical Council Registration
Higher qualification in Healthcare Management / Administration / similar is desirable but not essential
EXPERIENCE
Hospital operational knowledge is desirable and previous hospital clinical experience is essential.
Previous experience working with NCHDs/Interns is preferable.
Previous management of a large team of clinical staff is desirable

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence upwards, downwards and laterally
Leadership to provide clear direction and guidance to Medical Admin staff and NCHDs/Interns.
Ability to motivate and manage a team of high performing clinical staff in a challenging environment
Work collaboratively in an environment where teamwork is essential
Knowledge of medical specialties and related matters is essential
Well-developed customer service skills
Excellent written skills required to draft correspondence, policies and procedures
Able to assume responsibility and manage own workload and that of the Medical Administration team
Expert in use of Excel and in presenting data.
OTHER DUTIES
Participate in weekly Patient Safety Review meeting and follow up, as well as committees, panels, teams or project groups throughout the hospital as required.
Liaise with Clinical Management and PSQI on matters arising from the NCHD & Intern staff.
