Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. As an Approved Housing Body (AHB), we work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants and developers. We currently manage nearly 7,000 properties across Ireland. ROLE OVERVIEW Responsible for the oversight and management of funding administrative and governance aspects of Board approved property projects that have passed feasibility stage. The Head of New Business Completions will lead and manage the new business delivery team. WHAT YOU WILL DO Reporting to the Director of New Business and Development, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of end-to-end enactment including the legal and funding processes for the completion of projects coming into Cooperative Housing Irelands stock. Ensuring operational excellence is delivered, and professional standards and governance are delivered. Manage the New Business Delivery team, providing clear direction, supervision and support to ensure high quality service delivery and successful outcomes. Develop good working relationships with external stakeholders such as HFA, Housing Agency and Department of Housing and attend meetings as required. Ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly mapped out and develop, in conjunction with HR, a skills matrix to identify gaps and ensure future workforce needs are met. Manage the Development Committee (board subcommittee) in conjunction with the Committee Chairman and ensure that meeting arrangements and administration comply with appropriate governance standards. Managing Pipeline Delivery in respect of financial progress. Present progress reports on status of projects, including financial updates, progress on funding applications and status of approved projects to Development Committee, Board and EMT and other internal stakeholders as required. Ensure policies, processes and procedures are designed with a sensible approach to operational, governance and legislative needs in mind. Work with other key internal stakeholders such as Finance, Housing or Asset Management to ensure structured engagement and communication and a timely flow of information and reports. Work alongside the Director of New Business Development and Head of Acquisition to ensure the division’s strategic goals are met. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Essential Requirements: Appropriate legal and financial management experience in overseeing execution of property acquisitions. Must be confident in addressing noncompliance and ensuring adherence to proper procedure. Financially articulate with excellent written and presentation skills. Knowledge of the Property sector. A proactive self-starter with strong organisational skills, capable of independently managing priorities and delivering high quality work to deadlines. A collaborative, team-focused mindset, committed to building strong working relationships and performing effectively in a fast- paced environment. Proven people-management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and hold staff accountable for performance and service delivery. High level of integrity, professionalism and commitment to confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality. Desirable Requirements: Knowledge of the approved Housing Bodies sector. Experience in dealing with Boards or committees would be an advantage.
