Human by nature.    Job Purpose   As senior Leader in the Operations function, with overall responsibility for providing Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality and Facilities oversight for APAC Region (Fragrances) at regional level, leads the Operations function to deliver products to customers on time, applying defined product quality requirements while optimizing production costs.   This role is part of the cross functional APAC MC led by the Commercial Head of the region. The incumbent is also a member of Global Operations Management Committee.   Direct reports: 6 . Indirect reports:  550+ Production Volume  50000 tons Production sites : Multiple sites in Asia Pacific   Core Responsibilities   Strategy design and execution   Participate in the design of the functional strategy and definition of related objectives based on input provided by other functions in the region, e.g. Commercial, Regulatory, S&T. Adapt and implement the functional strategy in the region and oversees the design and execution of related tactical and operational plans to meet functional objectives.   Function management   Provide direction across all Operations sub-functions within the region to drive alignment and improve operational visibility. Drive organizational synergy and process integration initiatives (Operations Excellence) which reduce cycle times, increase organizational agility, improve on time delivery and quality of products and optimize cost savings opportunities. Work across all functions in the region to drive the deployment of a world class safety culture, strong productivity improvements and inventory reductions. Execute the annual operating plan within approved budget.   People management   Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes within Regional Operations and validate related results. Work with the Regional Operations management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing regional talent pipeline for the function. Drive the development and promotion of regional talents within and outside the function at regional level.   Academic Background   Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline. MBA or Master’s degree in a Technical field is preferred.   Professional experience   20+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong background in supply chain, quality and/or materials management, including exposure to M&A projects, organizational change, operational, restructuring, business process redesign, systems implementations, enterprise risk for complex organizations. Over 12 years of progressive experience in people management.   Technical Skills   Expertise in world class manufacturing concepts (LEAN). Expertise in product industrialization. Expertise in change management. Strong understanding of business process/system redesign.
