We would love you to join our team if you have the skills and attributes we are looking for as Head of Operations.
As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for driving excellence in Housekeeping and the newly created Guest & Owner Experience team. You will lead monthly meetings with both teams, ensuring continuous improvements to guest satisfaction, workstream efficiency, and the development of clear brand standards. Additionally, you will provide operational support by covering General Manager holidays and assisting the Director of Operations as required.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality, leisure, or a similar industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and support operational needs across locations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Housekeeping and Guest & Owner Experience teams to ensure top-tier service.
  • Monitor and improve cleaning, accommodation, and guest services to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a relief General Manager, providing hands-on operational support when needed.
  • Drive efficiency by refining work processes and implementing brand standards.
  • Analyse guest feedback and performance reports to continually improve service.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of high-performing teams.
  • Work closely with Marketing and internal teams to align service delivery with brand expectations.

THIS ROLE IS PERMANENT, WORKING 37.5 HOURS A WEEK. IT IS BASED AT OUR GROUP SUPPORT OFFICE IN CHRISTCHURCH, BUT FREQUENT TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED. THE ROLE OPERATES ON A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE ACROSS FIVE DAYS OUT OF SEVEN, WHICH COULD INCLUDE WEEKEND WORK
