Business: Pharma Solutions Department: Packaging Operations Location: Morpeth Reporting Structure: This position will report to Packaging Director Job Overview: The Head of Production is responsible for all activities and outputs relating to delivery from our operational areas. Through strong collaboration with other departments, the Head of Production will be responsible for driving all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (and budgetary) performance alongside continual development of their operational team. The role has two main areas of focus: ongoing short-term delivery of our operational plans and objectives in a safe and compliant manner which meets the needs of all business stakeholders and driving improvement of all aspects of operational standards, behaviours and departmental performance i.e. Safety and Quality Compliance, Operational Performance, Cost avoidance and reduction and team development. The individual will be a key change agent in driving world class levels of performance, compliance, operating standard and behaviours through engagement of people at all levels of the organisation. Key Roles/Responsibilities: Ensure all operations activities align with organisational requirements with regards to Quality, EHS, MHRA,GMP and legislative expectations and requirements. Ensure all departmental operations activities are run effectively and efficiently to facilitate achievement of budget through on time and in full delivery of high-quality product to customers. Develop and implement the principles of self-managed teams to engage the various work teams to improve overall operational performance Through effective performance management, develop and deliver an ongoing improvement plan which meets the needs of all customers and key departmental stakeholders. Close collaboration with Technical Services to ensure clinical trials work is planned and executed in line with customer expectations. Liaise closely with the Quality Function and drive departmental capabilities around the management of deviation investigations, CAPAs, self-inspections and change control processes Development and execution of departmental budget and longer-term improvement / delivery plans which meets the organisations, customers and key stakeholders longer term goals and objectives.
