As the head of the Operational Regulated Governance Team at CIS, you will work closely with Senior Managers and Department Heads to shape and influence compliance across CASS, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty. A role you will love This role delivers senior responsibility for Client Assets (CASS), Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty, enabling direct influence over regulatory standards and outcomes. It offers the opportunity to act as a trusted first‑line governance partner, providing authoritative advice across operational and regulatory matters. The role involves delegated certificated responsibility for the firm’s compliance with CASS, the CASS Resolution Pack, accurate record keeping of client assets, accuracy of client asset reconciliations, monitoring of conduct risk, oversight of the Consumer Duty and good customer outcomes, Conduct Risk and CASS policies. Key Responsibilities We are looking for a candidate who will;     Lead the Operational Regulated Governance function, setting robust governance frameworks, business processes and performance management across operations. * Act as the trusted advisor to the business on CASS, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty, providing guidance, policy sign‑off and regulatory oversight across all business units. * Own and deliver regulatory governance including chairing various Forums, leading first-line monitoring, reducing breaches, and ensuring compliance through effective MI and reporting. * Manage regulatory assurance activities including the annual  CASS assurance audit, maintenance of the CASS Resolution Pack, control mapping and product footprint ownership. * Develop, approve and oversee regulatory training, e-learning and coaching to ensure regulatory requirements are fully understood and embedded across the firm. * Own Consumer Duty outcomes end‑to‑end, including product reviews, fair value assessments, communications testing and board reporting.  * Provide guidance and support to the firm on regulatory matters during large scale change products. * Support the firm in its interactions with the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) as required.    What will you bring to the role? You will bring strong first‑line regulatory leadership with deep expertise in CASS, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty, ensuring robust governance and control across operations. Provide confident, practical advice to senior stakeholders, embedding regulatory requirements into business processes and change initiatives. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer (SMF24), you will be responsible for driving high standards of assurance, reporting and MIand delivering accurate, trusted regulatory outcomes. Above all, you will champion good customer outcomes, combining technical excellence with collaboration, influence and continuous improvement.
