Global Drug Product Development (GDPD) develops all dosage forms, devices and connected health solutions through advanced scientific, technical and engineering knowledge and expertise. We are part of the Global Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control Development (GCD) which develops the drug substance, drug product and analytical methods, launches the products and transfers them to commercial manufacturing. We also carry out life cycle management activities on our products. GCD is part of the Global Healthcare Operations (GHO), in Healthcare.

Your role

• Lead the development of all our orally administered drugs (drug product) through scientific and technical excellence
• Develop formulations, processes and drug delivery solutions that meet the needs of the molecule and the usersEnable the development of advanced data & digital soluctions to enable and complete the transformation into predictive development and manufacturing
• Drive innovation and technology development that supports competitive and agile product development and manufacturing processes
• Ensure implementation of phase-appropriate quality our development and manufacturing, and readiness and compliance for regulatory filings of our commercial and investigational products
• Share responsibility, ownership and oversight of the clinical manufacturing of investigational drug products
• Transfer products to late stage clinical, launch and/or commercial manufacturing sites including process validation
• Ensure safe, environmentally safe products and processes and further evolve our sustainable approach
• Foster the health and well-being of your team and help create an open, innovative and progressive environment for all

Who you are

• Significant expertise and experience in developing orally administered drugs, (especially New Chemical Entities) including enabling technologies and advanced manufacturing technologies
• Proven success with establishing and developing high performing teams in the technical development area
• Previous experience for leadership of digital and data-driven tools and system assisting predictive development of oral drugs and manufacturing processes is a plus
• Close familiarity and experience of quality, regulatory, EHS, sustainable practices related to technical drug product development
• A track record of establishing and driving interactions and collaborations in a complex environment, and in managing various stakeholders
• Shown leadership in establishing innovation and new practices to drive competitiveness, product differentiation and simplification, and fostering this in your teams
• Strong knowledge of broader business goals and acumen in creating value for patients and the business
