Job Scope
The Head of Order Desk Monterrey in SBL oversees the end-to-end process of preparing proposals, securing orders, and ensuring the efficient execution of contracts on a global scale. This role is critical in driving business growth by managing the proposal process, optimizing order execution, and ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded. The Head of Order Desk Monterrey will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, procurement, and logistics, to deliver high-quality proposals and flawless order fulfillment. Takes ownership for effective establishment, integration, and management of the Global Business Centres and Industry Order Desk of assigned product lines within the Service Business Line. The role is responsible for executing and streamlining global processes, gradually moving closer to, and allowing for, one global process, enabling a higher service level for the sales organizations. The role will ensure collaboration and alignment with the regional order desk teams.
The role is established under the Global Proposal & Order Desk team in SBL.

Your responsibilities

  • Support establishing a global process for the Order Desk function, taking best practices from current ways of operation into account
  • Oversees and manages the Order Desk resources that are located in the GBC Monterrey
  • Creates a setup that allows for global visibility and KPI’s that are comparable and can be used for continuous improvement of the function globally
  • Collaborates with the regional teams to drive efficiency throughout all teams globally

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the Customer service role/function, with a proven track record of driving business growth and operational excellence.
  • Excellent sales, financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Existing strong network of key stakeholders within the mineral processing industry.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop team members and potential leaders.
  • Ability to build a cohesive and engaged team focus on meeting customer needs
