Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Pastry Production to lead our bakery and patisserie production teams. You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our pastry, ensuring every item meets our highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and strong people skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the pastry production teams, including chefs, and kitchen porters.
  • Supervise production performance, motivating staff to maintain high standards and deliver consistently excellent results.
  • Plan and execute production schedules across daily, weekly, and monthly timelines.
  • Manage resources efficiently to reduce waste and support profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards at all times.
  • Maintain and oversee the upkeep of all production equipment.
  • Train, mentor, and support the growth of your team through teaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate on new product development and seasonal menu innovation alongside our founders.
  • Take ownership of relevant administrative tasks and production documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Inspire and guide a talented team of pastry chefs.
  • Create and produce a variety of high-quality cakes, desserts, and patisserie items.
  • Oversee ingredient orders, stock control, and team scheduling.
  • Champion excellence in consistency, hygiene, and productivity.
  • Drive creativity and efficiency throughout the production process.
