We are looking for a Head of Digital Strategy and Innovation who is strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking to join us in our Patient Solutions (PSol) team, based in any of our Global Research offices in Durham NC, Boston MA, Slough UK or Braine BE.

Minimum requirements

• Master’s in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years in digital transformation or tech-driven initiatives
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder landscapes
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or biotech R&D processes
• Familiarity with data platforms, AI/ML, and cloud-based solutions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skill

Preferred requirements

• PhD in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in a global, matrixed organization.
• Passion for science, technology, and innovation.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Motivated, dedicated, and proactive mindset

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will lead the development and execution of digital strategy and innovation across the Patient Solutions organization. This includes defining the roadmap, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and driving transformation that enhances scientific and business outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead digital transformation programs aligned with PSol’s strategic objectives.
• Collaborate across teams to define priorities and ensure the adoption of digital solutions.
• Manage multiple digital projects, including governance, budgets, and timelines.
• Promote digital literacy and support cultural shifts toward digital-first thinking.
• Coordinate technology integration with DT and Data Office for scalable solutions.
• Report progress and KPIs to leadership and refine strategy based on outcomes.
• Scout and champion emerging technologies relevant to life sciences and R&D.
