About the Client Our client is an international and growing PSP with a strong focus on the Asian market. Role Overview The Head of Payments will be responsible for strategic development and operational management of the payments function. The role focuses on building a strong provider network, optimizing conversion rates, and delivering scalable solutions for global acceptance of local payment methods across Asia, Africa, and LatAm. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the global payments strategy and define priority markets and payment methods. Build and expand partnerships with PSPs, acquirers, and local APM providers. Lead commercial negotiations, including fees, SLAs, and contractual terms. Oversee technical integrations (API, routing, hosting) and ensure processing stability. Monitor and improve KPIs such as approval rates, processing costs, and uptime. Manage payment risks in cooperation with Risk and Compliance teams. Improve regional payment UX and ensure effective communication with international clients and partners. Requirements Strong knowledge of global and local payment methods (cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, mobile money, local APMs). Proven experience building provider networks in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Solid understanding of API integrations, routing logic, 3-D Secure, PCI, PSD2, AML, and payment processing flows. Experience negotiating large contracts with banks and PSPs. Fluency in Russian and English (the role involves communication with international clients). Key Soft Skills Strategic and analytical mindset. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Ownership and accountability for performance metrics.
