At Nordic Insurance Software (NIS) we are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our leadership group that can support the organization’s continuous upwards trajectory. Your responsibilities will be in the people and culture domain where you will be expected - and supported - to take charge and define its implementation and boundaries. We are headquartered out of Østerbro, Copenhagen but we have colleagues in Canada, UK, Germany, and Poland. You will be joining our Copenhagen office, and the P&C activities are primarily centered around the 55 DK colleagues. The mix of people from diverse cultures and educational backgrounds combined with our entrepreneurial mindset makes for a unique working environment characterized by a strong drive, scientific curiosity, and teamwork. WE ARE SEARCHING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are passionate about P&C and have at least +2 years of experience in a similar role
  • You are well structured and detailed and quality oriented
  • You thrive on being the go-to person within the P&C palette and are comfortable solving ad-hoc tasks

  • You are fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English

We design, develop, and host IT solutions in the insurance industry as well as having a service vertical that helps the customers using and tailoring the platform to their needs.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for P&C at NIS and to make sure that relevant P&C objectives and people strategy are aligned with the overall business goals. As mentioned above, you will join the leadership group, and your organizational point of contact is to the CEO of the company.
You work closely together with our departments that focus on delivering professional IT services to our customers all around the globe, and you will be a trusted advisor to the department managers and will help our organization achieve its goals and strategies.
We have colleagues around the globe and your role is first and foremost responsible for Danish colleagues, but we foresee opportunities to synchronize and participate in activities with P&C activities in other locations. We believe this role to a wide interface across the organization embracing all aspects of P&C and with great opportunities for influence and self-determination.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your duties will include the following overall themes (evolve, attract, and retain). You will take ownership and drive the below activities:

  • Talent acquisition, including pre/onboarding and selected employer branding activities
  • Overall responsibility for the legal tasks related to (for Danish colleagues):
  • Employment agreements and contract addendums
  • Terminations, warnings, resignation agreements and layoffs
  • Implementation on new employment law
  • Overall responsibility for the administrative tasks related to (for Danish colleagues):
  • Maintenance of HR master data and other HR related data in the HR-system (Emply)
  • Updating and developing HR guidelines and HR processes etc.
  • Relevant retention activities such as performance management, benefits, employee satisfaction surveys, general employee wellbeing initiatives across the offices
  • GDPR and general compliance maintenance in collaboration with our DPO
  • Being part of and taking lead on relevant cross border P&C projects and initiatives
