Shepparton and Surrounds, Regional VIC | Senior Leadership Team

Not every Head of People & Culture role offers the opportunity to genuinely transform an organisation.

This one does.

We've built our reputation on trust, authenticity and putting people before profits. As we continue to evolve, we're embarking on the next phase of our organisational journey, modernising how we work, strengthening leadership capability, and creating a high-performance culture that will support future growth.

The Opportunity

Over recent years, GMCU has invested significantly in building the foundations of its People & Culture function.

The next challenge is different.

We're looking for a leader who can elevate organisational capability, drive cultural maturity, and partner closely with senior leaders to drive strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping GMCU continue its transition from a traditional operating model to a more contemporary, digitally enabled organisation.

  • Championing workplace safety, wellbeing and inclusion
  • Developing frameworks, policies and people practices that support organisational growth
  • Contributing to Senior Leadership Team discussions and strategic decision-making

What Success Looks Like

The number one priority for this role is clear:

Building a strong culture and workforce capability that enables GMCU to achieve its strategic growth objectives.

You'll help leaders set clear expectations, develop talent, strengthen accountability, and create an environment where people can do their best work while remaining connected to GMCU's values and community purpose.
