Govindas — a not-for-profit vegetarian restaurant group with three locations and a central kitchen — is looking for the right person to step into a key leadership role: Head of People / People & Culture Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is about people, not paperwork. You’ll be the go-to person for everything to do with our team: recruitment, rostering, training, culture, wellbeing, and HR processes. We’re looking for someone who can help our people grow, who brings a caring but professional touch, and who can make sure our workplace is both happy and compliant.
You’ll work closely with outlet managers and our leadership team to keep staffing on track, support team development, and bring fresh ideas for how we can continue to improve staff experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff rostering.
• Build and run training programs for staff at all levels.
• Champion workplace culture and staff wellbeing.
• Support managers with staff reviews, development, and conflict resolution.
• Keep policies and HR processes up to date with legal requirements.
