Job Title: Head of Group People Transformation & Partnering
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £78,129 (£86,186 is achieved after 12 months successful performance in the role)
Working Hours: Full-Time 35 hours
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Location: Speke, Liverpool (Hybrid)

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with:

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging practices relating to area of expertise and how others are using them to drive and improve our business.
  • Resilient, able to work in a large, complex, and complicated group of businesses with different demands and tensions in a financially constrained environment.Strong ability to effectively influence which instils confidence with peers, colleagues, boards, and stakeholders, developing good reports, plans and recommendations.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Track record of success in a senior manager role responsible for strategic people partnering, moving from a transactional to transformational model, meeting demanding objectives, delivering business performance that exceeds expectations.
  • Extensive experience of trade union management in a highly unionised environment, collective bargaining, highly effective negotiator.
  • Well networked and deep technical expert in HR / employee relations, and dealing with and sensitive complex case work, tribunal, mediation, and ACAS, advising at an executive level, managing effective relationships demonstrating strong credibility at a senior level including those with boards, customers, partners, and a wide range of stakeholders
  • Extensive experience of leading large-scale merger and acquisitions, organisation design and TUPEs, including development of approach and frameworks. Developing operating models and supporting business to implement.
  • Experience of building and advising at an executive level and Significant experience of leading transformational change with the proven ability to think and plan strategically; shape and deliver people projects to agreed timescales; and manage conflicting priorities. CIPD qualified, or talent acquisition qualification / equivalent experience.
  • Experience of large scale and cost supplier management working with legal advisors (internal and external) and management of 3rd party suppliers.
  • CIPD qualified with up-to-date knowledge of Employment Legislation and HR best practice.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills with a people change environment.

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

  • Strong ability to effectively influence which instils confidence with peers, colleagues, boards, and stakeholders, developing good reports, plans and recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain talent acquisition strategies to the business (and to colleagues of a non-HR or Talent Acquisition background) in a clear way.
