Description

The Head of Performance will be responsible for leading Digital Health and Care Wales’s performance management framework to support the delivery of the organisational strategy and transformation programme to enable a successful transition to a product and service delivery operating model.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the organisation measures, monitors and manages performance against agreed strategic objectives, targets and standards (national and local) by providing a comprehensive performance management service to the business to enable effective decision making.
The Head of Performance leads the performance team and, more broadly, a community of practice, acting as the key point of contact for organisational performance data insight and coordination across DHCW and externally with key stakeholders such as Welsh Government.
The role will lead on addressing complex performance issues by ensuring effective performance escalation processes and working with Delivery teams to conduct deep dives in areas of performance improvement, as required.

THE POST HOLDER WILL:

Lead the delivery of performance reporting requirements for the organisation, including, but not limited to, Welsh Government Joint Executive (JET), Integrated Quality, Performance and Delivery (IQPD), DHCW Board and Sub-Committees, Executive Management Board, Directorate reviews and any others as required.
Provide expertise to oversee the development and implementation of a performance management toolkit which will support the deployment of a range of enterprise performance management tools and methods across the organisation
Oversee the design and development of interactive dashboards for key performance data
Lead the design, development and delivery of the Performance Management Framework for the organisation, in line with agreed national and local standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
