We are looking for a Head of Physical Education for a school based in Changzhou. This is a full-time position starting in February 2026. About the role Provide strategic and instructional leadership for the PE department across all key stages, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, a safe and inclusive sport culture, and a vibrant co-curricular and competitive program aligned to the school’s vision. Set PE vision, annual plan, and measurable KPIs for PE/Health & Wellbeing. Lead PE curriculum design and sequencing across primary–secondary. Recruit, onboard, coach, and appraise PE staff; manage team schedules. Teach a reduced load to model best practice and mentor teachers. Drive evidence-based pedagogy, differentiation, and common assessments with data-led interventions. Plan and deliver clubs, teams, fixtures; coordinate local/overseas tournaments with risk assessments. Build partnerships with leagues/venues; engage parents and celebrate student achievements. Lead whole-school sport events (e.g., Sports Day, Swim Gala, Athletics Meets, Wellness Week). Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, first-aid readiness, and facility/equipment management. Maintain records and compliance with local regulations; contribute to wider school initiatives. A relevant degree in a subject taught within the faculty Deep understanding of the value of a fully integrated bilingual curriculum Strong commitment to holistic education Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching credential Salary and benefits Monthly salary of 33,000 to 40,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications Accommodation provided Air-ticket allowance of 10,000 RMB, extra 5,000 RMB to the spouse Public holidays Summer and Winter holidays Medical Insurance for teachers and spouses Relocation allowance Free tuition for up to 2 children
