JOB DESCRIPTION

We seek a passionate and professional Head of Plant Readiness COO Transformation (m/f/d) who will support the successful implementation of the COO footprint strategy. In this key role you will contribute to ensure that all operations facilities are prepared and enabled to execute the footprint concept in an efficient and high-qualified way and to ensure a smooth transformation process which is anchored in the whole organization.

  • Project plan driven steering in compliance with overall timing and standards
  • Regular reporting on the implementation status, milestones and risks to the Head of Operations Transformation and COO
  • Close Collaboration with all project streams and internal departments especially the Country Management and Plant Managers
  • Supporting the global Plant Management team, fostering accountability and result-driven performance

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master´s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing or related fields
  • Long years of leadership experience in JIT/JIS manufacturing operations and project implementation
  • Profound work experience within the Automotive TIER 1 environment, incl. Production Restructuring, Green- or Brown Field management and production transfers
  • Proven hands-on leadership ability to lead and steer global, diverse teams and deliver measurable results
  • Project Management Tools and Methodology Know How
  • Structured and analytical working approach; Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written; German and/or French is a plus
  • Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic work environment
Responsibilities

KEY TASKS

  • Auditing the maturity level of industrialization or de-industrialization projects on plant level
  • Prepares plants and organizations to take on product volumes / projects from sister plants which are supposed to discontinue operations according to the strategic footprint planning
  • Assures feasibility and operationalization of production transfer planning and execution in line with time plan, milestones & budget assumptions
  • Managing and supervising an interdisciplinary team in the central Transformation Organization according to defined objectives and KPIs
  • Envisions entrepreneurial innovations, aimed to bottom line improvement by developing the Plant Readiness organization and the plants services
  • Designs and leads global initiatives to implement action plans to ensure the operational performance of the respective plants e.g. line balancing, shopfloor management, Run@Rate studies
  • Organizational management of task force related operations
  • De-escalation of customer complaints based on facts, figures and performance
  • Defines and steers budgets for the development of activities within area of responsibility
  • Proposes and implements measures for improving team performance, change management, organizational optimization
