The Company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and has support offices in the UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Guatemala, and Bahamas.
As the Head of Platform Engineering, you will lead the architecture, development, and ensure a seamless path to production for our new derivatives trading platform.
Supported by a dedicated team of developers, engineers, and project management professionals you will focus on ensuring the platform is optimised for low-latency performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design and architecture of the derivatives trading platform to ensure scalability, low-latency performance, resiliency, and security.
  • Oversee the entire path to production, including CI/CD pipelines, testing environments, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient and seamless delivery.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of developers, engineers, and project management professionals, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Actively contribute to system development, particularly in complex areas such as low-level networking, concurrency, and I/O operations.
  • Implement best practices in system monitoring, performance optimisation, and incident response to ensure high availability and operational resilience.
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with strategic business objectives and ensure smooth feature rollouts.
  • Champion rigorous quality assurance, secure development practices, and robust testing to deliver fault-tolerant and compliant systems.
  • Drive innovation by adopting new technologies, improving processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
