My client are a UK telecoms business with a strong focus on customer experience, and they're investing heavily in the platform that underpins their products.

They now have a requirement for a Head of Platform Engineering to lead a team of internal and external engineers, set the direction for their cloud infrastructure, and build the self-service tooling and pipelines that let their product teams deliver faster. Success will be measured against DORA metrics, so you'll be driving improvements in deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate and recovery time.

• Their ideal candidate would have good knowledge of:Leading engineering teams of 15+ (internal and external)
• AWS & GCP
• Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Event-driven architecture (Kafka)
• DevOps best practice, CI/CD & self-service tooling
• Monitoring, logging & alerting
• Stakeholder management up to senior leadership level
• Telecoms, start-up or PE-backed experience (desirable)
