As our portfolio continues to grow, we’re looking for a Head of Portfolio to play a pivotal role in driving strategic alignment, governance excellence and portfolio delivery across our renewable energy pipeline. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys bringing structure, clarity and collaboration to large-scale infrastructure programmes. The Opportunity Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the Head of Portfolio will lead the evolution and delivery of Elgin’s OneElgin Portfolio Governance Framework, ensuring our projects, priorities and resources remain aligned to strategic and commercial objectives. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across development, project delivery, finance and corporate functions to strengthen portfolio visibility, governance and execution certainty across a rapidly growing international portfolio. This role combines strategic thinking with operational leadership and will suit someone who enjoys influencing at senior level while driving practical improvements that enable teams to deliver successfully. What You’ll Be Doing You will: Lead and continuously improve Elgin’s portfolio governance framework and operating model Drive portfolio prioritisation and capacity planning across a complex renewable energy pipeline Support strategic decision-making through clear governance, reporting and portfolio insights Partner with cross-functional teams to align delivery priorities, resourcing and commercial objectives Oversee governance forums, phase-gate processes and portfolio decision pathways Identify portfolio risks, constraints and dependencies, helping teams proactively address delivery challenges Champion consistency, transparency and continuous improvement across portfolio processes and ways of working Support the successful integration of strategic initiatives and portfolio growth opportunities Your profile What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you have: Significant experience in portfolio, programme or project management within renewables, infrastructure or other capital-intensive industries Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across senior and cross-functional teams Experience building or improving governance frameworks, operating models or portfolio processes Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability Experience managing portfolio prioritisation, resource planning and delivery risk The ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and actions A collaborative, solutions-focused and proactive mindset Passion for renewable energy and the transition to a low-carbon future Experience working across utility-scale renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
