Reporting to the General Manager Power & Electricity Transmission, we’re seeking a Head of Power Strategy, Growth and Optimisation to lead the strategic and commercial optimisation of the power portfolio across the asset life cycle. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape the future of our Power business, driving value from our existing assets while positioning the portfolio for long term growth and transformation. Key Responsibilities Bring our Power strategy to life by connecting long term vision with day to day delivery, working closely with operations and project teams to shape and support major growth initiatives. Guide how we maximise the value of our assets over their full lifecycle, bringing together insight, experience and curiosity to continuously evolve and strengthen our portfolio. Champion the way we use data and asset intelligence, creating clarity and confidence in decision making while helping our teams see opportunities they may not have seen before. Create alignment across people, processes and systems, ensuring our Power business is set up to operate simply, effectively and with purpose. Partner with stakeholders across the business and beyond to unlock commercial opportunities, balancing risk and reward while shaping a future ready strategy that supports APA’s long term direction. Your background You bring experience developing and delivering power and asset strategies across the full lifecycle, with a focus on performance, reliability and long term value creation. You are comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, operations and commercial delivery, with experience optimising contracts and identifying opportunities to maximise value. You have a proven ability to oversee and continuously improve portfolio performance at scale, using data, reporting and structured initiatives to drive outcomes across diverse assets. You bring strong commercial and operational judgement, with experience across CAPEX and OPEX planning, scenario modelling and managing risk and opportunity. You are confident in building and leveraging asset intelligence and digital capability, using data, analytics and predictive insights to support better decisions and future ready performance.
