Department : Event Operations Reports to : General Manager - Stadium & Event Operations Role Introduction The Head of Precinct & Event Co-ordination plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless planning and execution of events across Kai Tak Sports Park. Reporting to the General Manager – Event Operations, this role is responsible for aligning operational departments and external partners to deliver world-class events within the precinct. The position requires a strategic leader who can foster collaboration, drive operational excellence, and oversee the coordination of major events. With a focus on cross-functional integration, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement, the Head of Precinct & Event Co-ordination will be instrumental in shaping the precinct's reputation as a premier destination for sports, entertainment, and community events. Key Responsibilities Co-ordinate the planning and execution that is undertaken for events, specifically to ensure that all departments' responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with one another. Ensure that all operational departments work closely as a team for the successful delivery of events. Support operational department GMs and Heads to ensure consistent standards and practices across all areas. Lead the planning and delivery of event operations in the external precinct areas related to major events taking place in the venues. Review the Annual Operating Budget and recommend budgets to facilitate effective financial planning and resource allocation within the organization to achieve the successful alignment of departments to co-ordinate events. Take a lead role in the planning and co—ordination of the National Games of China events taking place at the end of 2025. Coordinate operational activities with operational departments and external contractors to ensure smooth operation of events. Communicate directives clearly and timely to other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency. Monitor event calendars, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation across precincts. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in event operations. Maintain positive relationships and collaborate with stakeholders, including KTSPL, the Hong Kong SAR Government, operations partners, design and build team members, contractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties. Deliver monthly reports to the Senior Management Team as required. Perform any ad-hoc assignments as requested. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale event operations, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or precinct-wide role. Proven experience in managing operations for major sports, entertainment, or multi-purpose venues, including stadiums and arenas. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising cross-functional teams and multiple departments. Deep understanding of event logistics, crowd management, emergency planning, and venue operations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, government agencies, and internal teams. Proficiency in event scheduling and operations software. Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to manage high-pressure situations effectively. High level of awareness of health & safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance in event environments.
