QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leading multiple teams across multiple geographical locations
  • Experience leading large teams in diverse roles
  • Previous procurement experience within an IT reseller an advantage
  • Business or Leadership qualifications at degree or masters level an advantage
  • Commercial understanding of IT purchasing
  • CIPS / Supply Chain qualification an advantage
  • A track record in management in a fast moving environment

Responsibilities
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of the Purchasing and Procurement functions as well as sharing responsibilities for negotiating and managing CDW suppliers.
  • Provide leadership to managers and coworkers. Developing departments and / or team plans and aligning to organisational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability for each area or sub-function objectives and business plans.
  • A dynamic, dedicated, passionate person that leads through influence, motivate through passion, work with coworkers, customers and suppliers at all levels, and drives commercial viability.
  • Responsible for ongoing management of departmental strategy and activity, and for ensuring optimal team / supplier performance. Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.
  • Set priorities and allocates resources to align with CDW objectives and annual plan
  • Apply knowledge of key business drivers and factors that maximise team and / or area performance
  • Decision making that is guided by departmental function and organisational objectives enabling creation of business plans that support funding of projects, products, services and / or technologies
  • Identify and solve non-standard operational and business challenges whilst leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department to support the resolution of customer and business problems
  • Actively look for ways to improve the customer experience, across all business units, make recommendations and support where possible
  • Take ownership of any issues that are noticed, across any business unit and see through to resolution, escalating when required
  • Work closely with all department leads to ensure harmony between departments and a culture of collaboration where support is encouraged
  • Always ensure the best interest of the business is at the forefront of decision making
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on legislation and regulations relevant to the department
  • Share responsibility for maintaining our EDI procurement and inventory ordering/management platforms
