Human by nature. Head of Procurement Ingredients - Your future position? You will require to establish a clear segment vision with focus on value creation and bottom line – aligned with the current strategy goals and targets. You will develop and implement category strategies to achieve sustainable reductions in spend aligned with Division strategies. Actively engage and represent Procurement with key segment stakeholders. You will also operate in close collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial Organization, GBS and the respective business partners. Lead & develop CatMan teams. Location Vernier or Shanghai Reporting to Deputy Head of Procurement F&B In this exciting role, you will be responsible for Alignment of Strategies Establish joint commitments with a clear focus on business impact & winning with customers Develop/validate the annual Procurement Plan and budget within the segment. Agree priorities, sourcing strategies and timelines with stakeholders Create a vision that consistently delivers value to the segment through our Procurement current strategy of Competitive Advantage, Resilient Supply Chain and Sustainability. Actively support the responsible sourcing, sourcing4good project and the Scope 3 reduction journey. Partnership Represent the segment Procurement Categories in business review meetings as appropriate. Ensure information flow between the related segment and the Procurement Category management organization to effectively deliver against business/functional strategies Participate in the Global S&OP for Ingredients and work closely with Global Procurement Management/Supply Chain Management /Pricing heads/Ingredients Manufacturing Management. Proactively communicate relevant decisions and market trends, and inform about potential RM issues Establish a stakeholder engagement plan Fosters strong relationships with key suppliers within the segment in alignment with the strategy Sourcing Strategy Drive the development and implementation of category strategies aligned with the global Procurement strategy Monitor achievements against business goals and periodically reassess the targets. Promote Market Intelligence Portfolio Management Negotiate contracts and manage vendor partnerships globally Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and actively involve creation and manufacturing in development of optimization plans Own key supplier relationship, and lead key supplier conflict resolutions Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts Ensure vendor performance at target levels 20-50% travel required People Management Build and develop a global category management organization Lead & develop the Category Managers in your team – on sourcing strategy, priority setting and communication to relevant stakeholder and resource optimization Attract and train the necessary talent to build a distinctive organization Develop a strong succession plan and promote high potentials and address performance gaps Your professional profile includes More than 10-15 years’ of experience in Procurement/Commercial and/or OPS organisations Experience in Operations Management and/or acting as a Chemist in a chemical plant is preferred. Experience in managing global teams from diverse backgrounds.
