Description

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in business studies, law, engineering, supply chain or similar discipline/ CIPS qualified or industry equivalent.
  • Extensive supply chain experience demonstrating results and progression to a similar management position.
  • Knowledge of:
  • Supply Chain Principles and techniques
  • Complex Tactical Procurement
  • ERP systems
  • Framework agreements and Subcontract
Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • Responsible for the delivery of the supply chain function in order to meet the strategic and operational procurement requirements of the business

KEY WORK AREAS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • For the strategic supply chain requirements of the business
  • Implement improvements to the supply chain function of the business.
  • Accountable for the successful set up and delivery of all company supply chain processes, procedures and activities.
  • Manages, directs and supports others engaged in the full range of supply chain activities, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and relevant reporting requirements.
  • Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the required plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with company processes and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate supplier evaluation, audit, and selection processes and procedures are in place.
  • Ensure Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required.
  • Drive financial savings within the supply chain and negotiate cost-saving initiatives with suppliers to support this.
  • Work with the General Counsel to ensure framework agreements and master service agreements are in place with key suppliers.
  • Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times.
