As Head of Product Engineering (f/m/d), you will assume a central leadership role in series production and the development of new instruments, and you will play a decisive role in ensuring the long-term product quality, production stability, and technical advancement of our instruments. Together with your team, you will be responsible for all technical aspects throughout the entire product lifecycle—from development through the successful transition to series production to ensuring stable and specification-compliant production. Job Description You will lead a team of currently four employees in both technical and managerial capacities and drive their professional and organizational development. In doing so, you will set clear priorities, improve processes, and foster solution-oriented collaboration. Your product responsibility begins as early as the development phase of our modern devices. Your first key milestones will be the construction and verification of prototypes. In addition, you are responsible for transitioning the devices from development to series production and ensuring compliance with product-specific requirements. You ensure reliable series production in accordance with specifications and maintain consistent product quality. To this end, you analyze any specification deviations that arise, identify causes, and initiate sustainable improvement measures. You coordinate all necessary process and product changes and manage all related activities at the interface between product management, development, and production. In doing so, you always keep the big picture in mind and ensure the efficient and structured implementation of technical changes. Qualifications You hold a degree in a technical or scientific field (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, process engineering, electrical engineering, or similar). In addition to leadership experience, you possess strong analytical skills, a hands-on approach, and a willingness to contribute to day-to-day operations. Furthermore, you are accustomed to working strategically in interdisciplinary teams and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues. You have solid practical experience in equipment manufacturing and some experience in project management. In addition to planning skills, you have a strong commitment to quality, think analytically, and work in a structured manner. Furthermore, you possess excellent communication and presentation skills. You speak and write German fluently and have a basic knowledge of English.
