Description

A Malta-based fintech specialising in business banking and payment solutions is seeking a Head of Product to join the team. Reporting to the CTO, you will guide product strategy, lead product teams, and manage the full technology stack—from customer-facing solutions to internal systems—while promoting best practices across the organization. This versatile role combines high-level strategy, hands-on delivery, and close collaboration with senior stakeholders to build long-term relationships and shape the future of the payments industry. This is an office-based role offering a salary of up to €80K, depending on experience. Role & Responsibilities Collaborate with internal teams to define and refine strategic product direction Lead software and product teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals Take ownership of major product areas, including cross-border payments, payment cards, and mobile apps Design and oversee UX/UI workflows to ensure products meet global standards and deliver exceptional customer experiences Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally Contribute to board-level updates and support teams in negotiating partnerships Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field 5+ years in senior product roles within financial services, with a proven track record of delivering impactful products Strong understanding of payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT, cross-border payments, cards) and digital banking products Experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning them with product goals Solid grasp of UX/UI principles and product management methodologies Ability to balance technical trade-offs with business impact Knowledge of EU financial regulations and experience in regulated environments (MFSA or similar) Startup or scale-up fintech experience is a plus Strong communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills About the Role Salary up to €80K, depending on experience Office-based in Birkirkara Health insurance Professional development opportunities Apply with your detailed CV. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
