ABOUT PRELUDE

Prelude Security is building the category leader in Runtime Memory Protection — an endpoint product that detects and blocks in-memory execution, memory zero-day exploitation, and ransomware execution entirely from user mode. We are a small team of security researchers and software developers working to reinvent the way we protect endpoints in a world where threats are complex, emergent, and accelerating. Backed by Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, and other leading investors, we are building an advanced security solution to detect in-memory attacks on endpoints.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience: 7 to 12+ years in B2B security PMM (endpoint, EDR/XDR, runtime/cloud workload, kernel/user-mode tech, or low-level telemetry). Start-up and “first PMM” experience is a plus.
  • Technical fluency: Comfortable translating topics like in-memory execution, process injection, RCE exploits, and user-mode vs. kernel trade-offs into business value. You can brief CISOs and talk to reverse engineers.
  • GTM mastery: Proven track record shipping launches that move pipeline; building competitive programs; enabling sellers and channels; and partnering tightly with Product, Sales, and Growth.
  • Storytelling & proof: Elite writing, deck craft, and demo instincts.
  • Ownership bias: Builder mentality, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias for measurable results
  • Humility, and an obsession with curiosity and getting better every day.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our first Product Marketer, you’ll own the story, the launch machine, and the market motion. You’ll translate deep security tech into sharp narratives, arm sales and channel partners to win, and make “memory protection” the next generation of endpoint security.
Prelude Security is a next-generation endpoint security company backed by Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, IA Ventures, MITRE, and other leading security investors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Message-market fit

  • Clear and adopted narrative across website, deck, and press; message recall in customer interviews.

Positioning & Narrative

  • Craft crisp, differentiated messaging for CISOs, SecOps, Endpoint/Platform Engineering, and MSSP partners.
  • Define the category POV for “Memory Protection” and how it coexists with/augments endpoint security.
  • Build message maps for three core outcomes: memory zero-day exploit protection, in-memory execution detection (C2/RATs), and ransomware execution prevention.

Launches & Releases

  • Drive tiered launch planning (GA, feature drops, partnerships) including PR, AR, customer stories, and content.

Orchestrate integrated campaigns across web, events, email, paid, and ABM.

Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Build ongoing tear-downs vs. EDR/XDR incumbents and niche “allow-list/lockdown” tools; maintain battlecards and talk tracks.

Size the category, track trends (e.g., user-mode detection, hardware telemetry), and inform product roadmap with market signal.

Pricing, Packaging & Proof

  • Define buyer-centric packaging (endpoint, server/workload, app/runtime) and value-based pricing.
  • Stand up win/loss, proof libraries (detections, benchmarks), and customer evidence cadence (logos, quotes, case studies).

Analyst, Media & Events

  • Lead analyst relations; land inclusion in relevant waves/market guides.
  • Prep spokespeople, abstracts, and demos for security conferences and briefings.
