Muzz is looking for an experienced and empathetic Head of Product to build and lead our product management function. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be a key member of our product leadership team, responsible for translating our company’s vision into a clear, actionable product strategy that drives our growth and serves our 15 million members.
This is a unique opportunity to build a world-class product culture from the ground up in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
This is a hybrid role requiring you to be in office every Tuesday and Thursday.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a passionate and strategic leader with a deep-seated empathy for the user. You will have a demonstrated ability to translate high-level business goals and vague problem spaces into a clear, actionable product strategy and roadmap.
As a natural mentor, you will have a passion for developing talent and will be responsible for building our product management team from scratch.
Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to articulate a clear vision, influence peers across the business, and get buy-in from executive stakeholders, including the CEO and CTO.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of shipping successful B2C mobile products.
  • 2+ years of direct line management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating high-level business goals into a clear and actionable product roadmap.
  • Strong proficiency in querying data through analytics tools to drive product decisions and a proven ability to lead data-informed initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience gaining buy-in from executive teams.
  • Comfort in shipping quickly, experimenting and learning from the results
  • Experience in building out a framework for product strategy in a business
  • Experience working on mobile-first products
  • Comfort in user research practices and helping facilitate them
  • Experience in looking at data to make informed decisions

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Experience in social media, dating apps, or platforms with a strong focus on user-generated content and community is highly desirable.
  • Comfort with tools like Linear, Coda, Thoughtspot & Figma
  • Familiarity with SQL
Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Vision: Understand our growth map, own the product roadmap, and build quarterly initiatives for the product squads to execute on.
  • Leadership & Management: Build our product management team from the ground up. You will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and performance managing the PMs operating across the business.
  • Execution: Directly manage the day-to-day operations of the central Product Strategy squad, which includes User Research and Product Analytics.
  • Insight-Driven Prioritisation: Prioritise User Research and Product Analytics projects to ensure we are focused on the most impactful work. Listen to member feedback via the Head of Support and prioritise accordingly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Heads of Support and Trust & Safety to ensure their tooling needs are met and any safety or compliance concerns are prioritised.
  • Product Delivery Lifecycle: Communicate initiatives clearly to squads, be involved in the early design stages to ensure solutions solve for the core problem, and lead the post-project analysis to determine the impact and next steps.
  • Driving Growth: Drive the key results for the product organisation, including metrics such as user engagement, retention, feature adoption, and conversion rates.
  • Customer messaging: Working with Product Marketing to ensure our features and customer journeys are well positioned for our members
