JOB OVERVIEW

The Head of Engineering leads the engineering function within the manufacturing site, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and project engineering team to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of filling, packing manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities. The role is responsible for:

  • Managing and developing an engineering team to deliver high standards of performance and technical expertise.
  • Provide advice, support with troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ensuring proactive maintenance and reliability of all plant and manufacturing systems within a GMP facility.
  • Ensure proactive and effective maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities to maximize uptime and productivity.
  • Driving compliance with GMP, regulatory, and safety requirements in all engineering activities.
  • Providing strategic direction and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of operations.
  • Project management – Lead and manage capital investments from feasibility, design, execution of validation documentation and handover, of facilities, utilities, packing and filling line equipment. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will be part of the site leadership team and contribute towards the business strategy, costing, people, quality and report to the Site Director.
