Description

The Head of PMO is responsible for providing support to the PMO to deliver high quality information, to support prioritisation of project deliverables, progress of these projects and highlighting any risks and benefits associated with these projects. They will be expected to work closely with Trust directorate and divisional management teams on a regular basis and work alongside the Executive Director of Transformation, Improvement and Productivity. The key objectives for the Head of PMO will be to: lead and develop the PMO office to monitor, drive and challenge the divisions and corporate directorates To deliver the cost improvement schemes across the Trust and working alongside the transformation tea members to ensure delivery of the Trust’s strategic transformation initiatives. The post holder will be expected to provide a balance between challenge and support to directorates and wider stakeholders who are central to delivery.
Leadership of the PMO team and work closely (centrally) with the transformation team (cross departmental representation).
Planning and scheduling – Ensure systems are in place to enable effective planning and scheduling.
Monitoring and reporting – Manage project controls, reporting to the PMO managers about the project status. Develop project performance reports.
Maintain and monitor action logs, track project tasks, risks, issues, dependencies and milestones.
Admin – Ensure organisational tasks are carried out efficiently. Manage compliance of the programme against quality, financial, and operational controls. Support the general running of the programme management office.
