Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of QA to lead our Quality Assurance practice in Portugal. This role is critical to ensuring the quality of our deliverables and driving new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of QA methodologies, a proven track record of leading QA teams and sales acumen. Key Responsibilities Lead and define the QA offer. Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc. Development of the QA strategy, methodology, discipline and framework. Driving and improving the QA team in areas of automated testing and agile testing Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation. Oversee all QA activities, including functional testing, performance testing, and security testing. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Identify and mitigate risks related to quality. Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to QA services. Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, including leadership experience. Deep understanding of QA methodologies and tools. Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment. Proven track record of leading and motivating QA teams. Sales and business development skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Experience in the IT consulting industry.
