QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Recognised as a practicing Quality Professional, ideally a member of the Chartered Quality Institute or equivalent.
  • Familiar with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, AS9100 and the organisations BMS
  • Familiar with the requirements of NATO AQAPs with respect to quality requirements
  • Have an understanding or the drive to gain knowledge of certifications outside of the UK (UAE, Saudi. Europe and Australia)
  • Have a Lead or internal management systems auditor qualification.
  • Have good Quality knowledge with appropriate qualifications (MSc, CQI Diploma, Certificate, Six-Sigma)
  • Management and leadership skills certification and demonstrable experience

SKILLS:

  • Proactive analytical problem solver with an ability to drive process improvements and promote an elevated quality culture.
  • Good active listener and influencer at all levels of the organisation to address conformance to requirements.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational and delivery challenges.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a new role that covers three businesses operating across the globe and as such will be an extremely interesting and challenging role. To lead quality and deploy the UK Defence, International & Digital Business Units Quality and Performance Excellence strategies, ensuring alignment to the D&AS, EE&I and Amentum organisations Enterprise Quality Strategy.
The role is responsible for ensuring an elevated quality culture where everyone realises their role in quality, making sure that each one of our products, our people, our processes, and services demonstrably meets or exceeds their stated needs. The role includes leadership, development and mentoring of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control resources within the lines of business, ensuring sufficient competent resources are identified, budgeted for, and deployed. The role will require face to face support and management of these resources.
As part of the Defence and Asset Solutions Quality leadership team, this role will contribute to strategic decision making, collaboration across functions to drive organisational goals and play a key role in sustained superior performance.
