Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Head of Research and Principal Research Fellow, you will oversee all research initiatives and set the agenda for advanced health and community care research projects through evidence-informed models of care. This role is pivotal in shaping strategies, collaborating with leading organisations, and securing funding to deliver impactful research outcomes that inform policy and practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Bolton Clarke’s research agenda aligned with emerging trends in health and aged care
  • Oversee research projects focusing on chronic disease management, geriatric care, and service delivery innovation
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of researchers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
  • Secure funding through grant applications and partnerships
  • Influence policy and practice through research dissemination and collaboration with government and industry stakeholders

To be successful in this role you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing interdisciplinary teams and delivering impactful research outcomes
  • Expertise in aged care, chronic disease management, and geriatric care
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • PhD in a relevant discipline with proven experience in clinical or health services research (desirable)
  • A track record of securing research funding and managing large-scale projects
  • Knowledge of research governance, ethics, and aged care regulation
