This is an opportunity for a successful candidate to join Research and Impact Services (R&IS), a vibrant department that provides a vital contribution in supporting Warwick’s internationally leading research endeavours.
R&IS is seeking a Head of Research Integrity and Quality Assurance – this is an exciting new strategic leadership role providing direction and specialist advice, guidance and training to University staff and students on all matters relating to research integrity and ensuring this is maintained throughout the research lifecycle, through a programme of quality assurance and on-going support. The role holder will have the opportunity to lead and shape a new quality assurance function, developing procedures and processes for monitoring and auditing activities in high-risk areas.
About You
This role will provide strategic insights and direction to research integrity and quality assurance functions. You should therefore have outstanding communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a credible track record of engaging effectively with all levels of stakeholder.
You will have a good honours degree, or equivalent and have significant experience of working in a governance or regulatory role in a research or research related environment, along with a comprehensive knowledge of research governance frameworks and associated legislation and regulatory requirements. You will be passionate about promoting research integrity and good research practices and enthusiastic about promoting research excellence.

About the Department
The department of Research & Impact Services supports the delivery of internationally leading research & impact at the University of Warwick. This encompasses support for research strategy; research development; research grants & contracts; research ethics & governance; research culture, research impact; trusted research, the Research Excellence Framework (REF); research systems & data; statutory returns; programme management of institutional funds to support research & impact; research income planning,; and responsibility for the co-ordination of institutional programmes & partnerships such as the Interdisciplinary Research Spotlights, The Alan Turing Institute (ATI), City of Culture (CoC), and Eutopia. R&IS also delivers the secretariat function for nine formal University committees.
Candidates are asked to note that, Research & Impact Services has adopted hybrid working and candidates should therefore expect to be located on campus a minimum of three set days a week.
