About The Role As a Head of Risk & Compliance of Vivid Money B.V., a Dutch-regulated company offering investment and crypto services across Europe, you will own the entire risk management and compliance framework of the company. Your focus will be on non-financial risks such as AML, duty of care, operational, third-party (outsourcing) risks and tech. But you will also oversee financial risks such as liquidity, capital, credit and market risks. Furthermore, as a member of the Group Risk Management and Compliance team, you will help with managing (consolidated) risks at the Group level and in other group entities, such as Luxembourg-based Vivid Money S.A. that is responsible for payment services. This is a hands-on role with one direct report that calls for someone proactive and ambitious. Vivid is in need of an experienced Compliance specialist who is ready to step up into a bigger role. Your Mission Oversee and maintain the risk and compliance framework at individual entity level, and support relevant risk and compliance matters at group level, including strategy, policies and governance arrangements as approved by the Board. Assist the Boards in fostering a culture of informed risk-taking through training, communication and promotion of the agreed risk and compliance framework. Provide independent risk and compliance advice, challenge and escalation to management and the Board where appropriate. Keep up to date with EU regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business. Interact with regulators on an ongoing basis, as and when required. Participate in the new product approval process and assess related risks. Maintain a quality assurance and control testing programme across all compliance and risk domains. Oversee outsourced functions, execution counterparties for securities and crypto orders and other material suppliers from a second-line-of-defence perspective, including due diligence and ongoing monitoring. Follow up on risk incidents, risk, audit and regulatory findings, and coordinate and review the implementation of corrective measures. Maintain regulatory reporting processes, including reporting to the FIU. Ensure ongoing reporting to, and close cooperation with, the Chief Risk Officer, who is a member of the Board. Your Profile At least 7 years of experience with a preference for demonstrated exposure in retail financial markets and/or the crypto industry; Extensive experience in a compliance environment with a good understanding of the compliance issues impacting (financial) market infrastructure and financial services; Significant relevant experience at a regulated financial institution, with first-hand knowledge of EMIR, MiFID/MiFIR, AMLD, MICA, IFR, ESG, and/or trade repositories; Familiarity with financial markets and financial products, e.g. Equities, Derivatives, FX and Crypto; Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage risk and control activities in complex financial operations environments; Alignment to our company values and ability to convey them to the rest of the team - You are customer-obsessed, unstoppable, owner and radically honest; Strong attention to detail; highly driven and ambitious; Excellent written and spoken English skills, native knowledge of a second European language is welcomed; Based in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) or willing to relocate.
