About the role: Reporting directly to the Chief Broking Officer, you will oversee and drive the growth of Gallagher's Engineering & Consulting risk management function. This includes conducting comprehensive risk assessment surveys and offering specialised risk management advice across industrial special risks, machinery, and/or casualty classes of business. How you'll make an impact Execute a business unit plan and strategy that is in line with the company priorities and the prevailing market conditions Manage a stand-alone P&L for Risk Engineering & Consulting. Risk improvement reports for clients Creation of risk improvement reports to assist larger Gallagher clients to mitigate risk in the fire & general space Business continuity planning for larger Gallagher clients Contribution to insurable risk profiling projects for Gallagher clients Undertaking risk identification analysis and ensuring rectification of risk areas Lead a team providing Seismic, Flood and Fire risk modelling services Lead a team providing Health & Safety Consulting services Create marketable solutions in risk management space to sell to non-Gallagher clients Support broker submissions to the insurance market by producing comprehensive underwriting reports. Identification of PML/MFL for MD/BI policies Contribute and support submissions for new business proposals Providing direction and advice on a broad range of risk management issues Ensuring operating policies and procedures are followed and activities are conducted ethically Skills and Experience: Extensive experience in conducting risk identification and risk remediation Knowledge and experience of undertaking risk reports of large and complex risk Business planning, budgeting and change management skills Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to stakeholders Demonstrated experience of presenting to and building relationships with key decision makers A high degree of commercial acumen and experience How to apply: Click the “quick apply” button above, or for more information contact our friendly recruitment team via email at recruitment@ajg.co.nz Please note only candidates who have the right to work in New Zealand will be considered. Responsibilities
The Head of Risk Engineering and Consulting will oversee and drive the growth of Gallagher's risk management function, including conducting risk assessments and providing specialized advice.
