YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Security Consultant (CSC), or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Experience (minimum 5-7 years) in a security management role, preferably in a large, complex organization or educational institution
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing security policies, emergency response plans, and crisis management strategies

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The goal of this role is to ensure a safe and secure campus environment by developing and implementing safety and security strategies, emergency plans, and crisis management. This role serves as the central point of contact for all safety and security-related matters and coordinates collaboration with internal and external partners.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, ongoing refinement of the university’s security protocols to protect against threats and vulnerabilities and lead internal criminal and safety investigations
  • Create and oversee emergency response plans and safety and security concepts, including leading crisis management functions and ensuring readiness for unexpected events
  • Monitor and evaluate all security-related processes to ensure they meet the highest standards of effectiveness and compliance. And support necessary improvements
  • Coordinate and work closely with external security service providers to ensure that all contracted services align with the university’s security needs and standards
  • Act as the central point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external partners regarding all safety and security matters, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
  • In-house consulting and training in safety and security aspect
  • Lead the strategic planning, processes and operational execution of all security-related activities, including personnel management and resource allocation within the Safety and Security department
  • Manage the department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet safety and security needs
