We are excited to be recruiting for a Head of Sales and Marketing to work with us at a prestigious venue in Central London. This position involves working Monday - Friday, daytime social hours, some flexibility on evenings and weekends is required.
We are looking for a Head of Sales and Marketing to lead a team of 7 including a sales manager.
The venue: The venue is a multifaceted operation that has 12 meeting/function spaces which are utilised for both social and corporate events and functions. The venue also provides co- working spaces, has a cafe and a bar on site.
We are looking for someone who will own the strategy for the sales and marketing of the venue, manage of the sales and marketing team with responsibility for the selling and administrating of internal and external activities and events. We need someone to represent the business in the external events community making direct client contact and bookings. Responsible for the smooth running of all sales, marketing and communications matters within the site.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for sales projects that involve both proactive and reactive selling
  • Regularly creating packages for our various customer groups and ensuring that an appropriate marketing campaign is delivered to ensure maximum business is gained
  • Working with the web developers on the website’s search engine optimisation
  • Organising and hosting various client familiarisation events in efforts to create new business
  • Managing the marketing budget is spent to ensure the maximum return on investment
  • Reporting back on figures and sales marketing activities at the end of each month
  • Chairing monthly marketing meetings to ensure our strategic marketing plan is being achieved with minimal effect to the marketing budget. Ensuring each meeting is looking at least three months ahead
  • Continuously looking for new technologies and other methods to gain new business
  • Have excellent knowledge of the site, their capacities, unique selling points and their capabilities.
  • Managing and keeping track of referrals for events.
  • Achieve higher average spend by effective use of up selling to each client.
  • Assist in the organisation and running of promotional events including potential client hospitality activity.
  • Coordinate material and equipment for sales presentations including client gifts and giveaways.
  • Communicate and provide information to internal departments and colleagues to assist and enable sales activities to run smoothly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external.
