Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Sales to build and scale the growth of Multitude Bank’s Payments Solutions division. In this strategic yet hands-on player-coach role, you will be responsible for acquiring, developing, and growing institutional clients such as PSPs, fintechs, and platforms operating in mid- to high-risk verticals (e.g. gambling, crypto, marketplaces) across the EU. You will personally drive new business while building a high-performing team and scalable sales engine from the ground up, owning revenue generation, pipeline development, and client growth. You will also play a key role in navigating a regulated environment with evolving onboarding processes and infrastructure. Main responsibilities: Client Acquisition: Own and drive new institutional client acquisition, personally leading complex sales processes from first engagement to contract signature. Engage senior decision-makers and close high-value partnerships. Pipeline & Growth Ownership: Build and maintain a strong pipeline, identifying new verticals, partners, and revenue opportunities to meet ambitious growth targets. End-to-End Relationship Management: Oversee the entire client lifecycle from lead generation, due diligence, and onboarding through to ongoing account management. Ensuring efficiency and exceptional client experience. Sales Operations & Reporting: Develop and maintain scalable sales and pricing processes; ensure accurate CRM data, pipeline management, forecasting, and KPI reporting. Compliance & Risk Alignment: Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to structure and onboard clients in line with regulatory requirements, while supporting commercial objectives. Strategic Execution: Define and execute on the growth plan, prioritizing customer and verticals with the highest commercial potential. Leadership & Growth: Lead, coach, and motivate the Business Development team to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in institutional financial services sales, ideally within Payments, Transaction Banking, or Fintech sectors. Strategic yet hands-on commercial mindset, with demonstrated experience of operating effectively in a regulated environment with cross-functional dependencies (e.g. Compliance, Risk, Operations). Proven success in leading sales teams and closing complex B2B partnership deals. Ideally in regulated and/or mid- to high risk- segments.
