  • Scientific background in e.g. immunology, biochemistry, or chemistry with PhD degree
  • Proven track record of people management and leadership.
  • Experience from pharmaceutical industry in early discovery and translational science
  • Experience with scientific support for late-stage development or translational scientific support to marketed compounds as well as clinical understanding is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The overall objective of the team is to build dermatology insights, disease and asset mechanism of action (MoA) understanding, and apply a scientific mindset across the organization. The team should help improve the differentiation of pipeline assets together with the commercial organization and Global Medical Affairs (GMA), and positioning of already marketed assets against competitors.

  • Lead the scientist team and coordinate their task with evaluation heads in external innovations
  • Plan and Coordinate SSI meetings.
  • Coordinate asset evaluation with Heads of External Evaluation to provide joint guidance and recommendation to Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)
  • Lead and provide scientific support of late-stage projects and publications.
  • Lead scientific early project teams.
  • Build disease understanding.
  • Collaboration with Translational Science to drive biomarker research.
  • Collaboration with Formulation team to drive topical innovation

The role offers the opportunity to be part of the SSI leadership team and is based at our Head office in Ballerup, Denmark.
