We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Services to lead strategic oversight and the delivery of services contracts, currently Wellbeing and PCN services, SMI Facilitators and Safe Havens for Andover Mind.

PERSON SPECIFICATION AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS -

Demonstrable track record of operating at a senior manager level with extensive leadership experience.
Proven experience of developing people and successful succession planning.
Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement processes and implementing best practice.
Proven experience of setting and managing budgets.
Monitoring and reporting on service impacts, outcomes and outputs to commissioners and internally.
Sound organisational and project management skills with the ability to translate strategic plans into performance.
Highly effective interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to gain the trust and confidence of commissioners and other key stakeholders quickly.
A strong appreciation of the local and national drivers in mental health and wellbeing service provision, and a sound knowledge of primary care and community mental health services in a multi-agency context.
Holder of in-date Mental Health First Aid certification, or a willingness to attain it.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Andover SP10 2B

Responsibilities

To oversee the operational delivery of all contracted services, including planning, setting and monitoring performance against objectives, quality standards costs, and ensuring alignment with contracts and service specifications.
To be an active, collaborative and effective member of the Senior Leadership Team and participate in forward planning with the Chief Executive.
To foster a culture of user involvement, high service standards and continuous improvement in operational delivery across contracted services.
Work positively and responsively with commissioners and other funders to ensure necessary contracts and agreements are in place for each service and that they are renewed as required and that documentation and proposals are discussed and agreed with the CEO and Finance Manager.
Coordinate audits and other systems and procedures to monitor, review and report on performance and the effectiveness of services, their outcomes, impacts and outputs.
Monitor and obtain feedback from service users, staff and volunteers on key trends and patterns in service usage and referral activity in services, to inform service improvements and modifications.
Production of regular contract monitoring and reports on performance to commissioners and other funders.
To be Andover Mind’s Caldicott Guardian, ensuring all services’ staff and volunteers awareness of role and remit, and keeping knowledge up to date on Guardianship.
To act as Deputy Safeguarding lead to the Manager N&M Hants Safe Haven who is the Safeguarding lead.
As a senior leader, contribute to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation so as to increase the accessibility of and support given by Andover Mind to the diverse communities we aim to support.
