Description

The Head of Solar will be responsible for the complete running and operational element of the Solar division within EVERGY, including the online element.
Working closely with the Head of EV, you will oversee and coordinate staff within EVERGY, nurture and develop their skills in their roles, assist and implement training where required, and praise their positive progression. You will have a clear plan for attracting new customers and growing the EVERGY brand name, ensuring customers receive exceptional service and the ultimate shopping and online experience. Should complaints arise, they must be handled promptly and professionally.
You will work closely with suppliers and the Commercial Manager to ensure full maximisation of purchases and rebates. Collaboration with the Marketing Manager will be key to promoting the company and strengthening its online market presence. You will enforce company policies, ensure compliance, and manage financial aspects such as daily revenue and overheads.
Your role will involve driving sales and profitability to meet and exceed individual and company targets, with monthly management of the EVERGY P&L to ensure maximum profitability.
A successful Head of Solar will have excellent people management and customer service skills, along with a strong understanding of business operations. You must be able to ensure smooth operations, achieve annual profitability targets, and maximise the potential of the solar division.

Responsibilities
  • Improving sales & profitability.
  • Continually monitor and update the Sales & Operations Director on solar sales and EVERGY online performance.
  • Handle orders by phone, email, messaging, or face-to-face, ensuring orders are accurately priced and processed.
  • Keep customers updated on order status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships.
  • Increase EVERGY online sign-ups.
  • Collaborate with all other departments.
  • Support hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of employees.
  • Praise employees for good work.
  • Present an annual EVERGY forecast showing ambition to grow the solar aspect year-on-year.
  • Work closely with the Head of EV to reach sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Hold weekly meetings with the Head of EV to discuss concerns, sales, and margin targets.
  • Work with the Commercial Manager to keep the Central Stores clean and visually appealing.
  • Conduct supplier meetings to maximise profitability and brand presence.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally.
