About The Cathedral School

About the Role

As Head of Sport and Co-Curricular Activities, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership of the School's sporting and non-performing arts co-curricular programs.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of coaches, coordinators and support staff.
  • Oversee Cathedral's extensive Sporting Academy Program and student participation pathways.
  • Coordinate major sporting competitions, events, camps, tours and awards programs.
  • Build strong partnerships with sporting organisations, community groups and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective risk management, compliance and safe program delivery across all activities.

A teaching load is associated with this position.

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
  • Proven experience coordinating and leading school sport programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, mentor and inspire staff and coaches.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A commitment to student growth, participation and wellbeing.
  • An understanding of, and willingness to support, the Anglican ethos of the School.
