The Cathedral School is an Anglican co-educational school in Townsville catering for approximately 1,200 students from six weeks old to Year 12, including 170 boarding students. About the Role
As Head of Sport and Co-Curricular Activities, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership of the School's sporting and non-performing arts co-curricular programs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of coaches, coordinators and support staff.
- Oversee Cathedral's extensive Sporting Academy Program and student participation pathways.
- Coordinate major sporting competitions, events, camps, tours and awards programs.
- Build strong partnerships with sporting organisations, community groups and key stakeholders.
- Ensure effective risk management, compliance and safe program delivery across all activities.
A teaching load is associated with this position.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
- Proven experience coordinating and leading school sport programs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, mentor and inspire staff and coaches.
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A commitment to student growth, participation and wellbeing.
- An understanding of, and willingness to support, the Anglican ethos of the School.
