To help us continue expanding our offerings, we’re in search of an experienced Strategic Product and Partnerships leader who can help extend our reach. This person will bring our newest innovations to market and build partnerships with large and small companies that will create and augment the value and success of our products and platforms in the market.

TWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Product and Partnerships Leader to bring to life cutting edge new retail solutions and to build industry-leading partnerships that support our world-class solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading product teams focused on extending our product innovations while finding, aligning, and partnering with leading companies that will extend our reach, drive new efficiencies, and create new value for VusionGroup.

  • Build a world-class Product and Partnerships function: Build and lead a focused product team to bring internal innovations to life and a partnership team to bring the best innovations of the outside world into VusionGroup’s platform.
  • Product Leadership: Lead Product Management for VusionGroup’s expanding IoT initiatives in areas like Computer Vision and IoT sensors to define the customer needs, prioritize key initiatives, and ensure we execute efficiently on the right requirements.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify key strategic partners that will enhance our product offering and build compelling, coordinated strategies and plans across the enterprise (through product, engineering, sales, marketing, etc.) to lead the relationship with these partners to aligned benefits and value creation that support VusionGroup’s larger business objectives and strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate major commercial agreements on behalf of VusionGroup, ensuring our objectives can be reached while creating a win-win for both parties.
  • Joint Product Development: Work with the Engineering, Product, and Supply Chain organizations to ensure successful joint product development, effectively owning the products or outcomes delivered by our partners.
  • Driving Stakeholder Alignment: Drive alignment across Product, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Supply Chain, and other functions to ensure success.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Regularly update internal stakeholders on new and updated processes and facilitate company-wide portfolio review boards.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR.

  • Experience:
  • 8+ years of product management, strategic alliances, partnerships, or technical business development experience, preferably with experience across hardware and software and in bringing innovative concepts to market.
  • Proven track record of leading complicated negotiations to successful outcomes for both parties.
  • Proven track record of managing several complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Willing to be “on record” and to write down clear requirements and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Abilities:
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, fostering collaboration and driving consensus.
  • A strong customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the retail technology sector.
  • Experience with IoT, Computer Vision, AI, and/or smart device ecosystems.
