Job Description Global lead of the Software Engineering of product development center (PDC) e.g for Display Solutions (including FDC) or Head Up Display worldwide for all OEMs Give direction for the Software engineering area and organize global synergies and reuse, yet maintaining customer focus Manage internal and external customer-relationships Define and manage the long-term application software engineering roadmap together with the PDC Head, customer centers and platform development Leading of PDC Software engineering including coaching and mentoring of the team Set and implement PDC worldwide software engineering strategy (multi-side engineering including low cost share), goals and budget targets. Promote inter PDC exchange and knowledge sharing Ensure customer orientation as well as maximum synergies within PDC Software engineering Responsibility and supervision of Software processes compliance and key data Apply benchmarking to ensure competitiveness of PDC Software engineering in both the technology area as well as in effort. Ensure this for products at all complexity levels Responsible for Software quality within PDC; ensure that lessons learned and insights obtained will be used in the future for continuous improvement Ensure SW Project execution in time, budget according to the given budget Qualifications Academic degree in engineering relevant domain Experience acting in leading leaders in the respective engineering discipline (technical or disciplinary leadership) Several years of experience in setting up and leading international development teams Very good understanding of complex HW and SW systems Knowledge of mechanics and system engineering Experience in a role with strategic responsibility Experience in product development processes, tools, methodologies and metrics in automotive industry Very good German and English language skills Problem-solving, planning and organizational skills Team working and communication skills Additional Information Ready to take your career to the next level?
