About the Role Reporting directly to the VP of Finance and Operations, this is a hands-on role that will build the Talent Acquisition function from the ground up. This is not a typical TA leadership role. You will act as both strategist and builder — owning everything from talent brand development to closing world-class, enterprise-grade talent. You’ll leverage Rippling as our core ATS to manage your process, but your success will be defined by the speed, quality, and alignment of the hiring programs you create in partnership with our hiring managers and Finance & Operations team to meet our growing demand. Key Responsibilities Recruiting process design and infrastructure ​​Design and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that supports Rhino’s rapid and cross-functional growth goals. Build and operate the recruiting function, including process design, best practices, and performance metrics. Develop data-driven hiring insights and reporting through Rippling ATS integration to ensure operational excellence and accountability. Talent Acquisition Business Partnering Partner directly with executive leadership to define hiring roadmaps, align recruiting priorities with business and technical objectives, and provide sound role definition categorized in job families that can assist with structured compensation bands. Partner directly with hiring managers to define roles and responsibilities as well as being able establish clear markers of needed qualifications. Establish and maintain high standards for candidate experience and employer branding across all channels and enable hiring managers to execute sound process and qualification rigor. Sourcing and Closing New Talent Drive sourcing, pipeline development, and closing strategies for roles in engineering, AI infrastructure, sales, customer success, and technical support. Represent Rhino’s mission and culture to candidates, embodying our values and long-term vision for federated AI systems. Manage external recruitment agencies for highly specialized or executive talent when necessary from time to time Support People Operations Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees Assist with people operations programs and events generally Assist with culture building and internal communications Required Skills 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3 years building or leading a recruiting function in a high-growth tech. Proven success hiring for deeply technical roles, including engineering, AI infrastructure, or enterprise software sales. Strong command of modern recruiting tools, especially Rippling ATS, sourcing platforms, and data analytics tools. Demonstrated ability to develop strategic hiring plans aligned to aggressive growth targets. Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to convey Rhino’s technical vision and market differentiation to candidates and stakeholders. Track record of operational leadership: process design, metrics tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high bar for quality and candidate experience. Preferred Skills Experience recruiting within AI, federated computing, or large-scale distributed systems domains. Prior success building out recruiting from scratch. Knowledge of compensation benchmarking and technical talent markets across North America. Familiarity with employer branding and talent marketing. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at all organizational levels. Location: Boston (Hybrid) or US Eastern Timezone (Remote)
