Description
Location: Full Onsite. Berlin Mitte, Germany. About the Company The company is the AI-driven trade platform transforming industrial supply in infrastructure, energy, and construction materials. It connects vetted suppliers across Asia, Europe, and the GCC region with local demand through a single integrated platform. Its proprietary AI stack digitizes and automates the full lifecycle of materials trade — from procurement and pricing to inventory, logistics, and embedded financing — replacing thousands of manual, relationship-driven processes with real-time orchestration. Buyers gain instant quotes, reliable availability, and predictable delivery through a unified operating system. Suppliers benefit from accurate forecasting, disciplined demand management, and seamless integration into cross-border fulfillment networks. The company partners with leading brands to run both dropship and cross-dock fulfillment motions for large-scale transactions, turning global supply chains into predictable, repeatable, software-like workflows. Backed by top-tier investors and institutional financing partners, the company has scaled to triple-digit-million GMV, operates across six international markets, and is rapidly expanding toward profitability. With a team of 80+ people across Berlin (HQ) and Asia, it is building the world’s first industrial-grade AI operating system for materials — redefining how global trade works in one of the world’s largest and most essential industries. About the Role We’re hiring a Head of Talent to architect and lead the next growth phase of the business. This is not a maintenance role - it’s a design-and-execution mandate. You’ll build the systems, culture, and leadership pipeline that let the business scale from dozens to hundreds of A-players without losing speed or precision. You’ll sit at the intersection of Talent, Growth, and Strategy, working directly with the Founders and leadership team to shape how we hire, onboard, and develop exceptional people. Your scope spans global talent acquisition, employer brand, leadership development, organizational design, and performance systems, all underpinned by data and automation. What You Will Do Design a global talent engine: Build an end-to-end acquisition and retention system that scales across Germany, Europe, and Asia. Lead the recruiting team: Coach, set targets, and create a predictable hiring rhythm that mirrors the commercial velocity of the business. Partner with leadership: Translate hiring demand into structured workforce plans and future-proof org design. Champion data and AI: Use analytics and AI-enabled sourcing tools (Gem, Ashby, ChatGPT, LinkedIn AI, etc.) to shorten time-to-hire and lift candidate quality. Elevate employer branding: Position the business as a destination for world-class operators, engineers, and commercial talent. Embed incentives and performance culture: Define metrics, rituals, and systems that reward output, ownership, and growth. Drive inclusion and compliance: Ensure fair, scalable, and legally sound global hiring practices. Model the office-only standard: Build and champion a culture of energy, collaboration, and on-floor presence - five days a week in the Berlin HQ. Who You Are 5+ years in talent leadership, ideally in high-growth B2B tech, or tech-enabled operations environments. Proven record of scaling teams 100 → 200 + with measurable ROIC on hiring quality, time, and retention. Deep understanding of sourcing systems, ATS (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse) the latest AI assistance for hiring, and employer branding across multiple markets. Data-driven mindset - comfortable with dashboards, funnel analytics, and talent forecasting. Experience building international teams and working with C-level executives. Fluent communicator in English (German or another European language a plus). Naturally thrives in an office-only culture - believes that proximity builds speed, cohesion, and accountability. We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic. We believe that diversity drives innovation, creativity, and collective strength.
