Description

Job Advert
Guildmore’s Facades & Cladding Unit is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Technical to lead and oversee all technical aspects of façade and cladding systems across the business. This pivotal role will shape the strategic direction of technical solutions, ensure successful project delivery, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
As Guildmore currently does not have an internal design team, the successful candidate will establish structured technical processes, manage external design partners, and drive innovation to enhance in-house technical capabilities. The role also carries responsibility for quality assurance, compliance with regulations and industry standards, and embedding best practices across all projects.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in façade and cladding design, engineering, or construction, with proven leadership in technical roles.
  • Demonstrable experience managing large-scale façade projects from concept through to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Expert understanding of façade and cladding systems, materials, and performance criteria.
  • Proficiency with design and modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino).
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and proven ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Passionate about innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence in façades and cladding.
